Comprehensive Addiction Treatment At Bedrock
Bedrock offers compassionate, comprehensive treatment for people with moderate to severe forms of substance use disorders (SUDs) involving alcohol, opioid painkillers and other prescription drugs, heroin, methamphetamine, cocaine, and more, including polysubstance use.
Shortly after arriving at BRC, you will meet members of your care team and receive a full assessment to determine your current state of health and the full scope of your care needs. If you are experiencing withdrawal symptoms, you will likely begin treatment with medical detox, receiving around-the-clock medical care, supervision, and support until you have stabilized.
Medical Detox
People experiencing drug and alcohol withdrawal symptoms benefit from medical detox programs. At Bedrock, your safety and comfort during withdrawal are supported through medical supervision and care that may include regular monitoring, medications for difficult or uncomfortable symptoms, tapering schedules when appropriate, counseling or other emotional support, and more.
You will continue to be monitored for post-acute withdrawal syndrome (PAWS) as you transition into residential treatment.
Residential Addiction Treatment
Residential treatment at Bedrock gives you the opportunity to get at the root of your addiction through therapy, learn and practice healthy coping skills, and regain a sense of empowerment and joy in your life. BRC offers a group therapy-based curriculum and a holistic approach that aids in healing from the full range of addiction’s effects. The trauma-informed approach also includes dual diagnosis treatment for clients with co-occurring disorders, with special services also available for veterans, union members, and other groups.
Addiction treatment options at BRC include:
- evidence-based therapies, such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT)
- case management
- psychoeducation
- family therapy and psychoeducation
- medication-assisted treatment (MAT) options for clients with alcohol or opioid use disorders
- integrated dual disorder treatment (IDDT)
- Alcoholics Anonymous (AA), Narcotics Anonymous (NA), SMART Recovery, and other peer support groups
- an alumni program and other aftercare planning
Comprehensive Mental Health Treatment At Bedrock
People experiencing mental health symptoms who are looking for an alternative to a stay in a psychiatric hospital, or who are looking for “step down” care following such a stay, can benefit from the Pathways residential mental health program at Bedrock.
Treatment is available for people with the following mental health conditions:
- anxiety disorders, such as generalized anxiety disorder, panic disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and social anxiety disorder
- attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder
- bipolar disorder
- borderline personality disorder
- depression
- post-traumatic stress disorder
- schizophrenia
People experiencing a mental health crisis or a relapse of a mental health disorder often benefit from stabilization services before beginning residential treatment.
An assessment after you arrive will help determine the full range of care needed to regain balance and bolster long-term recovery.
Community Crisis Stabilization (CCS) Services
In Massachusetts, short-term inpatient treatment for mental health disorders may be referred to as community crisis stabilization (CCS) care. At Bedrock, CCS and other stabilization services can serve as a way for you to regain balance in a mental health crisis, offering more intensive support than an individual session with a therapist or similar regular treatments.
Residential Mental Health Treatment
For people who would benefit from a longer period of professional mental health care, Bedrock offers residential treatment typically lasting approximately two weeks. During this time, clients participate in a group therapy-based curriculum, helping them see that they are not alone, develop and strengthen social skills, and grow in self-understanding. Bedrock’s evidence-based, holistic program offers trauma-informed care, dual diagnosis treatment, and other specialized services to meet a wide variety of client needs.
Treatments and services available include:
- evidence-based therapies, through individual, group, and family sessions
- individual and family psychoeducation
- medication management
- peer support groups
- integrated treatment of co-occurring substance use disorder (SUD)
- case management
- recreation and wellness activities
- aftercare planning
